HacDC is at USA Science & Engineering Festival!

We have several tables at the USA Science and Engineering Festival for Friday, Saturday and Sunday April 15-17th thanks to RobotFest. The booth number is 1949. Join Tom, Julia, Matt, Bobby, Nancy, Ethan#1, Ethan#2, Enrique and others showing off current and recent HacDC classes, workshops, tools and member projects. USASEF expects 350,000 visitors so this is the premier opportunity of 2016 to showcase the HacDC community, capabilities and interests to potential new guests, volunteers, members, donors, sponsors, local businesses, government officials and so on. We could always use members’ and volunteers’ help showcasing HacDC; just remember: act normal.

Build a Robot at HacDC

Robot Prototype

The USASEF robot-building fun continues Monday March 28 at 6:30pm! We’ve sketched out a creepy design and we’ll be designing 3D printing parts (ImplicitCAD!), mounting and wiring motors, microcontrollers and doing some coding into the night. No prior skills needed, just come learn how to do all this stuff with us!

The 4th USA Science & Engineering Festival is the largest STEM education event of its kind in the USA, hosting over 10,000 attendees at the Washington DC Convention Center and many more at satellite events nationwide. HacDC will be there showing off HacDC projects, tools and our community of hackers.
