Amateur Broadband On 3.4 GHz
There’s been great interest and activity in mesh networking and establishing long range point to point broadband links in the amateur community. Until recently most of this has been done on 2.4 GHz shared with many other WiFi users and other consumer devices. David W2LNX will be bringing by some recently acquired 3 GHz Ubiquiti equipment. Amateur radio is the primary user of the 3300-3500 MHz frequency band which isn’t so crowded and should improve link performance. Broadband linking/mesh networking for emergency communications and other applications will be discussed along with how we might get involved.
